WebWorks has been independent since 2014. We work from studios in Lisbon and Berlin and have, on purpose, never grown past seven. Scale is a strategy, not an aspiration.
Principles
- i.
Long collaborations, not short transactions. We take four engagements a year so we can stay close to each one.
- ii.
Designers and engineers in the same room — and on the same payroll. Handoff is where craft goes to die.
- iii.
We bill for outcomes and judgement, not hours. Time-tracking is for accountants, not designers.
- iv.
We say no a lot. The work in the archive exists because of the briefs we declined.
